A few paragraphs don’t do justice to another great experience. Our trip started in Vancouver, thanks to the hospitality of 3 great Irish Friends from Slane. Vancouver is a most attractive city – you can be in sunshine at sea or in city and 30 mins later be skiing in snow. A modern city with music, art galleries and craic, but also with history.

From Vancouver we went to Vancouver Island and Victoria, the BC State Capital, went whale watching and on a tour of the island. Very interesting, including ice block sculpture festival (chainsaws) and Chenaimus – City Of Murals.

We went west, long drive to Alberta, passing many interesting interior towns and places, including winelands.

Our real target was the spectacular Canadian Rockies – some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Snowy Craggy Peaks, Glaciers, Turquoise Lakes. The Main attractions are in Glacier Highway and Lakes, Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper.
