This was a highly enjoyable journey through some of the most colourful, diverse, friendly and generally interesting territories. Start in Mexico City and (eventually) to San Jose, Costa Rica.

Southern Mexico

This began in Mexico City. We had been warned of dangers. But, being the reckless, we travelled far and wide in the City without incident. We then travelled on public buses (a high standard) via Puebla, Oaxaca, San Christobal, Palenque Mayan Ruins, The Magnificent Sumidero Gorges, Merida to Chichen Itza Mayan Ruin and Cancún.
The photos give a flavour of this most attractive country. Magnificent Buildings, friendly and fun lovin’ people, attractively laid out towns – every town had a square/park where folks could gather and put the world to rights.
